NusaBali reports that police have failed to make an arrest in the October 10, 2013, brutal rape of a 26-yea-old Russian woman at the Prana Gading Residence in Jimbaran, South Bali.
A spokesman for the criminal investigation division of the South Kuta Police Precinct told NusaBali that police continue to seek new leads in the case.
After interviewing 15 witnesses and conducting a thorough crime scene investigation, police are still unable to identify the perpetrator two weeks after the crime.
Police say their investigation has been complicated by the victim’s inability to identify the rapist and the lapse of time between when the actual crime occurred and when it was reported to police.
Police were only informed of the crime 24-hours after it occurrence.
