Sundara at Four Seasons Presents Spanish Cuisine and Cocktails

(6/29/2014) A world-renowned Master of Mixology, Javier de las Muelas from DRY, will return to Bali’s Sundara Restaurant on July 23 and 26, 2014 in the company of Spanish Michelin star Chef Carles Tejedor.

Already known for its outstanding cuisine and cocktails, Sundara is a perfect backdrop for Javier de las Muelas, master of the award-winning DRY Martini Bar in Barcelona and one of the world’s most influential Mixologists.

Javier de las Muelas' earlier visits to Bali included a month of pre-opening training for Sundara’s Bar team. He is returning to Bali to share the latest trends in Mixology. His company, DRY is one of the leading global consultancy companies, constantly defining new standards in international Mixology.

Never guilty of doing anything by halves, Sundara will also welcome Spanish Michelin Star Chef Carles Tejedor. Tejedor, who spent seven years leading Barcelona’s legendary Via Venetor Restaurant, is coming to Bali on the singular mission: to introduce Bali diners to Spain’s best tastes and flavors.

Chef Carles is also the man behind Oil Motion, a project that aims to spread knowledge of cooking oil internationally. Maintaining two oil laboratories in Barcelona and Beijing, the project reflects Carles participation in the Science and Cooking lectures at Harvard University, his culinary consultancy for restaurants and some of Spain's best oil makers.

For two days only, The Four Seasons Bali Resort at Jimbaran Bay will welcome these two talented Spaniards to enliven local palates.

On Wednesday July 23, guests will be treated to a delicious variety of pass around tapas such as Whitebait, Charcuterie Iberica and Fideua Fideua to be paired with DRY’s world-class Pitcher cocktails at the Sundara Bar. The standing event, accompanied by a Live DJ, which will begin in time to catch Jimbaran Bay’s dazzling sunset at 5.30 p.m. until 8.30 p.m..

The event is priced at Rp. 950.000++ (US$96) per person.

On Saturday July 26, Sundara invites guests to Sundara Mezzanine to experience Spanish live cooking. The culinary journey will be defined by different live cooking stations and Spain’s most renowned culinary export: the ‘Paella’, prepared by Michelin Star Chef Carles Tejedor. Guests will be able to observe and interact with the chef as well as learn the newest trends in Mixology from live cocktail stations. Spanish classics such as A Feira Octopus, Iberian Pork Filet and Prawns in garlic together with a live band playing Latino music will turn the night into a Spanish fiesta.

The event which begins at 6.30 p.m. and ends at 9.30 p.m. is priced at Rp. 1,400,000++ (US$142) per person.
