(7/7/2003) Reportedly frustrated by the lack of available passenger seats between the People's Republic of China and Bali, a local Bali tour operator has announced his plans to operate charter flights between Bali and Shanghai.
As reported in the July 5, edition of the Indonesian-language Bisnis Indonesia, Hie Rudyanto, a Director of Sinar Tour & Travel, has approached the Bali-based airline Air Paradise to charter their Airbus 310-300 with 183 seats to fly Chinese visitors to Bali.
According to the press report, the service would fly Denpasar (Bali) – Jakarta – Shanghai – Denpasar, initially operating once a week in August, increasing to twice a week in October when the service would be flown by a larger Airbus 300-600 capable of carrying 290 passengers.
Package Tours
Mainland Chinese travelers will be offered 7 day/6 night packaged holidays to Bali selling at Rp. 5.7 million (Approximately US$ 695). That price will reportedly include air transportation, accommodation at a 5 star Bali hotel, transfers, a tour, and a day cruise.
