Savings that Must Be Seen to Be Believed

Garuda Launches Special Fare Initiatives ex-Australia.

(10/8/2003) Garuda Indonesia has just announced a number of fare initiatives that make holidaying in Bali from Australia more attractive than ever, especially for families traveling with children.

The airline's stated intention is to entice people to see for themselves that, other than heightened security awareness and an even greater determination on the part of the Balinese to welcome and protect their visitors, Bali has not changed.

"All the reasons that made Bali the number one holiday choice for Australians for so many years are still there," says the General Manager of Garuda Indonesia in Australia, Mr. Iriansyah Antemas. "And now with even further savings it is within the price range of almost everyone to see for themselves."

With the introduction of the Under-16 children's fare from now until 31 March 2004, including school holiday periods, families will be amongst the greatest beneficiaries of these new fare offers. Previously families traveling to Bali during the school holidays were required to pay adult fare once their children reached 12 years of age, but now teenagers up to their 16th birthday travel on a child's fare. This can represent savings of up to AU$ 369 per child from the East Coast of Australia.

"Bali is such a family friendly holiday destination that we are particularly pleased to be able to make this offer," said Mr Iriansyah.Savings on Adult Fares Too!

Other savings include at least AU$ 100 off on a six-night holiday package of AU$ 799 per adult from Brisbane and Adelaide between October 6 and December 11, 2003. Saving can be even greater when supported by special hotel offers. The same saving is offered from all East Coast ports (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide) from January 12 to March 31 next year.

The AU$ 799 price includes return air fares, 6 nights accommodation at a range of hotels, daily breakfast and a number of free extras such as a dinner cruise, a massage and - depending on the hotel - a free tour or further discounts.

Those seeking a little extra style also stand to save up to AU$ 200 with the Executive Class tickets reduced from Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide during the October 6 - December 11, 2003 and January 12 - March 31, 2004 periods.

Savings From Perth

Travelers from the West Coast will not miss out as changes in seasonality from Perth have resulted in some peak seasons being reclassified as basic season. This has provided savings of up to AU$ 250 per person.

Even Executive Class travelers from Perth can save up to AU$ 180 during the Christmas and school holiday season.

Economy class pricing from Perth starts at AU$ 659 for 6-night holidays with the same inclusions as the East Coast holidays.
