Nusa Indah Resort Appoints GM & EAM

Sheraton Nusa Indah Completes it Management Team with New Faces in its Top Posts.

(9/21/2001) Starwood Asia Pacific has announced the appointment to the two lead roles at the Sheraton Nusa Indah Resort. Now filling the top job at the Resort is Mr. Michael Cottray as the General Manager and Mr. Hans-Peter Leitzke as the Executive Assistant Manager.

Michael Cottray - General Manager

Bringing with him a 20 year track record in the hospitality industry, Mr. Cottray has been with Starwood Hotels & Resorts for eighteen years. Joining as an Assistant Food and Beverage Manager at the Sheraton Aerogolf Hotel, Luxembourg in 1983 he moved, later, to the Sheraton Frankfurt Hotel. In 1992 he was promoted to Resident Manager in charge for the pre-opening of the Sheraton Grande Laguna Beach in Phuket, Thailand.

From Thailand, Mr. Cottray moved to Australia to serve as the Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas in North Queensland when, in 1998, he was promoted to General Manager of the property.

His last position prior to his appointment in Bali was as General Manager in charge of the opening of the Westin Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the first Westin hotel to open in Middle-East.

A native of France, Mr. Cottray graduated from the Paris Hotel School "Jean Drouant", and had taken overseas assignment for the French Air Force a year after that. He speaks fluent German, French and English and is married to Heike Cottray, with two children Maxime and Lena.

Hans-Peter Leitzke - Executive Assistant Manager

Mr. Leitzke's hotel career started in Germany in 1980 with the Sheraton Frankfurt as a Food and Beverage Service Trainee. Following that, he moved to the Hilton group working at the Capital Hilton, Washington D.C.. While in the U.S.A. he also worked with Washington Hilton and Towersand The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.

Mr. Leitzke's service in Asia commenced in 1997, with an appointment as the Director of Food and Beverage at the Mandarin Oriental Manila.

He rejoined Sheraton in 1999, serving as the Executive Assistant Manager of the Sheraton Abu Dhabi Resort and Towers, United Arab Emirates.
