Public Relation Professionals Name New Chairperson

Nusa Dua Beach Hotel Julita Chandra to Head Public Relations Association for Coming Year.

(7/10/2006) Bali Hotels Public Relations Association (HHPB) installed its new Executive Committee at the association's meeting held at the Hotel Santika Beach Bali on June 28, 2006.

The new Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson of the HHPB for the period June 2006 – May 2007 are, respectively, Julita Chandra of Nusa Dua Beach Hotel & Spa and Ayu Martiasih of Maya Ubud Resort & Spa. The organization's newly elected secretary is Fretty Zahfithri of Nikko Bali Resort & Spa and with Marianne Budihardja of Grand Hyatt Bali serving as Treasurer.

The new Head of the HHPB, Julita Chandra, is the holder of a Silver Medal from Bali Travel News’s Sympathetic Public Relations Awards 2004. A member of the HHPB since December 2003, she is employed as the Marketing Communications Manager at the Nusa Dua Beach Hotel & Spa for over 3 years.

The HHPB is a non-profit organization of hotels public relations professionals in Bali that aims to encourage friendship, share information and experiences among its members. Founded in 1999, HHPB has more than 23 members drawn from hotels public relations professionals across Bali.

"We are very excited with our 2006-2007 Program and hope that it will be beneficial for our professional role as hotel public relations," said Julita. "The program includes social and environment friendly activities, interaction with media people, teambuilding, as a continuation of our last (year's) program. Through our activities we could contribute on promoting Bali as a destination and to develop ourselves as professional hotel public relations." she added.
