Help Wanted On Line

Bali Government Launches On-Line Employment Service as Part of Governor's Pledge to Double Per Capita Income.

(10/18/2008) Governor Made Mangku Pastika has formally inaugurated a new On-Line service for jobseekers operated by the Government of Bali and the provincial manpower office.

The new website (in Indonesian) [www.bursakerjabali.com] is intended to provide a central platform for employment opportunities, job seekers and manpower agencies licensed to recruit local workers for overseas positions. Handy on-line forms allow companies seeking staff to post job vacancies on the site and those looking for work to share their resumes with potential employers.

The computer illiterate are welcome to go directly the On-Line Job Mart at Jalan Iman Bonjol No. 603 in Denpasar where paper forms are available that, once completed, will be put on line by government staffers.

In comments made at the inauguration ceremony, Governor Pastika said: "In my campaign (for governor) I declared my desire to double the per capita income of the people of Bali. Because of this, unemployment must be reduced and new employment opportunities expanded. No Balinese should be unemployed, unless he is lazy."
