Aston Bali Beach Resort & Spa Appoint Robert Hunter General Manager

(5/27/2011) Aston Bali Beach Resort & Spa have appointed Robert Hunter as general manager, effective May 2, 2011.

Hunter brings extensive hotel management experience to his new role at Aston Bali Beach Resort & Spa where he will be responsible for the resort’s 187-rooms and suites.

Commenting on his Bali appointment, Hunter said: "After three exciting years in the nation's energetic capital, Jakarta, it is wonderful to have a change of lifestyle and enjoy the beauty of Bali. I am proud to be associated with the Aston Bali Beach Resort and Spa, a property with friendly staff and a tremendous location, right on its own private beach. I am looking forward to seeing several exciting developments within the resort and being part of the caring community that is concerned about precious and fragile environment".

Australian-born, Robert Hunter has worked for more than 21 years in the international hospitality industry in New-Zealand, Malaysia and Indonesia. The Australian’s career path includes 8 years experience within YTL Hotels and Properties, resident manager at the JW Marriott Hotel Kuala Lumpur, general manager at the Vistana Hotel Kuantan, an assignment at the Vistana Hotel Penang and pre-opening general manager of The Majestic Malacca.

Most recently, Hunter was the pre-opening general manager of the Aston Marina Hotel and Residences a 358-room condotel and conference center in North Jakarta.
