Bali Military Command Gearing Up Security in Preparation for U.S. President Obama's Visit in November.

(6/19/2011) The 9th Udayana Military Command headquartered in Bali have declared their readiness to safeguard the visit of U.S. President Barack Obama in November 2011.

The assurances were offered by the Commander of Bali's military district, Major General Leonard Louk, during a coffee morning held with members of the press at his office on Tuesday, June 14, 2011. At that meeting  he outlined a variety of anticipatory steps underway for the visit of America's Chief Executive.

Obama's November 2011 visit will take place during the East Asia Summit where around 20 different heads of state from East Asia are expected to attend.

"The 9th Military Command has received orders to prepare security precautions. We will also begin drills and exercises designed to be ready for the summit conference and the visit of President Obama," explained Leonard.

Leonard told Beritabali.com that 1,000 military personnel will be deployed from his command to maintain public order and safety during the summit and presidential visit.
