Bali Culinary Professionals Appoint New President and Committee Members

(6/24/2011) Bali Culinary Professionals (BCP) an organization supporting Bali professional chefs have announced the appointment of Andrew Skinner, Executive Chef of Bulgari Hotels & Resorts Bali, as their president for the coming term.

Skinner replaces Chef Made Putra of The Laguna Resort and Spa.

Meanwhile, Christfian Nehemia, Executive Chef of Holiday Inn Resort Baruna has been appointed as vice president BCP, replacing Darren Lauder of Nusa Dua Beach Hotel and Spa.

Remarking on his BCP leadership appointment, Skinner says: “I am honored and privileged to have been chosen to lead and to serve this outstanding organization. I hope to expand the organizations influence to chefs and culinary industry in Indonesia and around the globe. I am also grateful for the support and confidence of the board of committee members.”

Bali Culinary Professionals is comprised of chefs from hotels and restaurants together with food and beverage managers, owners and suppliers to the hospitality industry. The goal of the organization is to create, maintain and improve professional standards of chefs, highlighting and encouraging new skills, facilitating innovative ideas and promoting Balinese food locally and overseas.
