During the days the tribesmen will share and demonstrate the wood carving skills that have made carvings from their region prized parts of primitive art collections in major museums around the globe. Also during the days of the exhibition, the Canggu School library will be open to the public each day with an exhibition of outstanding Kamoro carvings to view and/or purchase.

On Wednesday evening at 6:00 pm, Dr. Kal Muller - author and authority on this region of Indonesia, will give a presentation on the Kamoro.

Two nights later, on Friday at 6:00 p, the Kamoro tribesmen will perform the unique ritual mandated to place a new “skin” on a carved ceremonial drum.

Both evenings are open to the public without charge and will include a live demonstration of Kamoro chanting, drumming and singing.

The Kamoro , like their neighbors in the Asmat, are master wood carvers
