Electing Not to Work

May 15, 2013 Declared a Public Holiday in Bali so the Balinese Can Get Out and Vote

(5/10/2013) The provincial government of Bali has declared that Election Day for Bali's next governor and deputy-governor, Wednesday, May 15, 2013, is an official holiday.

Confirmation of the “holiday” status is in accordance with a decree of the Minister of the Interior issued on April 29, 2013 and a circular announcement issued by the secretary for the Province of Bali issued on March 6, 2013.

The May 15th election will see the current governor Made Mangku Pastika and his running mate for deputy governor Ketut Sudikerta pitted again the current deputy governor AA Ngurah Puspayoga seeking the top post and his choice for deputy governor Dewa Nyoman Sukrawan.
