A Warrior for Greenpeace in Bali

Fabled Rainbow Warrior Makes Three Day Visit to Bali

(5/31/2013) The Rainbow Warrior arrived in Bali on May 31, 2013 for a 3-day visit during a historic tour of Indonesia.

The ship – the third in a series of vessels by that name operated by Greenpeace – sailed into in the Balinese port of Benoa after visiting Jayapura, Manokwari, and Raja Ampat in Eastern Indonesia.

During its brief Bali visit the ship was open to member of the public who wished to tour the vessel and meet the crew.

The vessel, once banned from sailing in Indonesia, will continue on to Jakarta where Greenpeace is hoping the Indonesian President will visit and tour the Rainbow Warrior.

Designed and built to the highest environmental standards, the Rainbow Warrior relies on fossil fuels for only 10% of its power and propulsion requirements.
