Denpasar Parking Authority Prepare Customer Complaint Number to Report Dishonest Parking Attendants

(9/27/2013) The Director of the Denpasar Parking Authority (PD Parkir), Nyoman Gede “Punglik” Sudiantara, is asking the public to take an active role in supervising parking attendants working in Bali’s capital city.

Punglik asks that parking attendants thought to be performing badly or operating in a dishonest way be reported to the public service telephone number provided by the PD Parkir.

Punglik’s comments, reported by Beritabali.com, were in response to criticism of the service provided by parking attendants in Denpasar who often refuse to give printed parking receipts to motorists.

“Many complain about attendants who won’t give out parking receipts. But, in fact, they are obliged to give a printed receipt to everyone who pays a parking fee,” he explained.

In order to take action against recalcitrant parking attendants, the are asking to report any misconduct or bad service by telephoning:

At present, a total of 382 parking attendants are formally employed and paid wages by the municipality of Denpasar. If “local” or non-formal parking attendants “cooperating” with those formally employed by the city are included in the count, the total number of those tending to parking in Denpasar rises to 1,200.

And, therein may lay the problem.
