A Festival of Yoga and Meditation

Yoga & Meditation Festival December 21-22, 2019 at Rumah Luwih Bali

Yoga and meditation enthusiasts should note a unique opportunity to join a two-day “Yoga & Meditation Festival” on Bali’s southeast coast at the luxurious Rumah Luwih Bali December 21-22, 2019. The festival offers self-discovery, mindfulness, yoga, meditation, qi gong and a host of spiritually benefiting activities.

During the festival, there will be a bazaar of wholesome nutritious food and beverage stalls and other wellness-focused booths.

The event will feature two of Indonesia’s most recognized authorities on Yoga and Meditation: Anjasmara and Merta Ada. Other Bali wellness figures will also take part such as Ibu Anandinii-Ayu Suciani - one of Bali’s Qigong masters, and Bapak Komang Sidha – an avid Astanga Vinyasa Yoga teacher.


Day one of the festival will highlight sunrise yoga by Anjasmara, taking place at Rumah Luwih’s dedicated yoga area, overlooking the Indian Ocean. Day one will also offer an Astanga Yoga session with Bapak Sidha, a rejuvenating skincare demo, and include a comprehensive healing meditation by Bapak Merta Ada from Bali Usada.

A former model, presenter, and television star - Anjasmara has developed a successful “second career” as a yogi acquiring thousands of fans and disciples world-wide who participates in his workshops held both in Indonesia and overseas locations.

Anjas discovered yoga 13 years ago. He is an E-RYT200 with the Yoga Alliance and Advanced RYT 500 with Yogamaze. Yoga has taught him about acceptance, understanding, and love. His style is fun, challenging and engaging. His signature class is called Yoga Ala-Ala where he invites students to experiment and just have fun in Yoga. Anjas has taught in Namaste Festival, Bali Spirit Festival 2015, Rhishikesh Film and Art Festival 2017-2018, Yoga X Dubai 2018,  and various events in Jakarta.

Merta Ada

Day two will start with a meet and greet session with Anjasmara, followed by a Qigong session by one of Bali’s Qigong masters, and a yoga performance by the Narayan Seva Orphanage. A meditation class by Merta Ada follows with the festival continuing until 4:00 pm. All participants are given exclusive access to use our lap swimming pool during the festival.  

Widely regarded as Bali's leading meditation guru, since 1993 Merta Ada has taught meditation in Bali, Jakarta, Medan, and Palembang. Internationally, Marta Ada has taught in the UK, Germany, and New Zealand. Ada estimates he has directly taught some 127,000 students via his classes and seminars, and countless more via TV and Radio broadcasts, the Internet, and social media.

He is the founder and principal teacher of Bali Usada.

Ada is also well known as an alternative medical practitioner. His programs of achieving health through meditation is a holistic based on meridians, chakra’s, thought, meditation and memory that, according to Ada, are linked to ancient lontar books written in Bali.  Merta Ada has help many deal with mental illness, asthma, hepatitis, cancer, impotence, diabetes, and other illnesses.

Cost of Participation

Pricing starts from Rp. 250,000 per ticket for entry to Sunrise Yoga with Anjasmara or entry to the three-hour Meditation Session with Merta Ada.

Sunday Brunch is available for Rp. 250,000 and there’s also a special “Relaxing Package” which provides access to Sunrise Yoga, Meditation Session and Yoga Festival for Rp. 800,000.

All entries include free flow infuse water and healthy snacks.

Those wishing to stay at Rumah Luwih Bali can purchase a Premium Retreat Package at Rp. 2 million that includes one night stay at Rumah Luwih and access to all festival activities for one person. A Premium Retreat Couple Package is also available at Rp. 3 million.
