Police Arrest Two Transvestite Sex Workers in Kuta for Rousting a Swiss Tourist
Police have arrested two young men, Okta Viandri (28) and Muhamad Irfan Dinil (22), who are charged with attacking Luca Dario Bottacin (26) a Swiss national near the Old Man’s Restaurant on Jalan Batu Bolong in Canggu, North Kuta on August 23, 2018.
The head of the Kuta Police Precinct, Johannes H.W.D. Nainggolan, told Tribun-bali.com that police had received a report shortly after the alleged attack, but only announced the arrest on September 12, 2018, after an extensive search for the perpetrators of the attack.
After interviewing the victim of the assault and eyewitnesses, the police were able to trace the two men to their residence on Gang Poppies I in Kuta on September 1, 2018.
Police say the two men, Okta Viandri and Muhamad Irfan Dinil, are professional transvestites or “ladyboys,” admitted the attack to police that they claim resulted when the Swiss man failed to pay what the two men considered a sufficient amount for “services rendered."
Police continue to prepare the case for trial.
