Decadent Drug Dealing in Denpasar Demands a Decade of Detention

American Ian Andrew Hernandez Sent to Prison for 9 Years - 4 Months in Bali for Narcotics Possession

US Citizen, Ian Andrew Hernandez (31) has been sentenced to 9 years and 4 months in prison by a Denpasar Bali Court after being found guilty of possessing 6.6 grams of cocaine and 23.73 grams of marijuana.

As reported by RadarBali.com, Hernandez was reported to be shocked by the severity of his sentence, believing the amount of narcotics involved warranted a much more lenient punishment.

The American, after consulting with his attorney, told the judge he would not appeal the sentence.

Ian Andrew Hernandez, an American from California, was arrested by Denpasar police on Thursday, May 23, 2019 on Jalan Raya Kedampang Pengubengan in Kerobokan, North Kuta. Police made the arrest after receiving reports from neighbors of a foreigner distributing narcotics in the Jalan Pengubengan area of Kerobokan.

Police found the narcotics on Hernandez’s person and on his motorcycles. A telephone owned by the American was seized by police as evidence tracking the man’s illicit drug transactions. Police also searched Hernandez’s accommodations at Gang Krisna Number 4B in North Kuta where an additional cache of drugs and narcotic paraphernalia were uncovered.
