Police were unable to identify a reason for the man’s desire to take his own life.

Johanes, a witness, told police that they saw a Caucasian driving back and forth near the building on a Yamaha NMax motorcycle at 10:00 am. Police  this was the ill-fated Frenchman.

Officer Ricki said: “The victim also stopped for a while in front of the work place of the witness where he was said to have gazed for a time on the unfinished structure from which he later fell. He then left the location on his motorcycle.

An hour later, the witness heard that a man’s body had been found on the ground near the construction site. Screams were also heard a short time earlier from a local motorcycle jockey who saw the man fall to his death at the building located on Jalan Wahaha.

When his body was discovered, the Frenchman was wearing sunglasses, a Tom Tom brand wristwatch, a blue t-shirt, and gray FocclazBrand shorts.

Police removed the man’s body to the morgue of the Sanglah General Hospital in Denpasar for forensic examination.
