Bali Police in Kuta and Denpasar to Patrol on Bicycles
In a move to increase security and police visibility in Bali’s popular tourism destination of Kuta, the head of the Denpasar Police Precinct, Ruddi Setiawan, has introduced police patrolling the beach area with bicycles.
As reported by Beritabali.com, a spokesman for the Denpasar Police Precinct, Karnada confirmed the new bicycle police patrols.
Police insist that the security situation in Kuta remains conducive. “Not only on Kuta Beach, but in other tourist areas in Denpasar and Bandung we will undertake bike patrols to add to the general sense of safety for visitors,” said Setiawan.
By placing police on bike patrols on Kuta Beach it is hoped that officers will greet visitors and share practical advice on staying safe while in Bali.
