BIWA Holiday Season Charity Bazaar Returns – Sunday, November 3, 2019

On the ninth day of Christmas,
my true love sent to me,
nine ladies dancing . . .

The Bali International Women’s Association (BIWA) Holiday Season Charity Bazaar returns on Sunday, November 3, 2019, just in time to complete some essential holiday shopping while simultaneously providing needed assistance to a host of community projects funded by the Island’s longest standing woman’s group.

Open from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm in the parking area of the Lotte Grosir Mart in Sesetan on Jalan Bypass Ngurah Rai, some 200 merchandise and food stall will be in operation before a grand stage offering non-stop music and entertainment throughout the day.

Admission to the Bazaar area is free-of-charge with proceeds earned from vendors, lucky draw, and other fund-raising activities used to help social welfare projects that include sewing courses to promote financial independence, kitchen equipment donations to women seeking to set up small-scale culinary enterprises, aid to abandoned infants, support for the mentally impaired, and educational programs for the hearing impaired.

Over 2,000 visitors are expected to the Bazaar that had become a fixture on Bali’s calendar of important community events.

The public is invited and encouraged to attend the Bazaar. Donations of goods and service vouchers for use in a silent auction or lottery are appreciated together with, of course, outright financial contributions.
