About Bali

Bali is an island of spectacular natural beauty, the warm hospitality of the Balinese people has earned the island a special place in the hearts of visitors. Bali is one of the world's most exotic and diverse destinations, offering an extensive range of world class accommodation, shopping, and recreational options – all set against the backdrop of the world’s richest and most spiritually-imbued cultures.

Visitors to Bali often return home full of wonder and enthusiasm. Arguably, no place on earth is so infused with such positive spirituality: rituals, ceremonies, dance and prayers are an intrinsic part of Bali's daily life, dominating every household and village on the island. A small island, once dominated by nine separate and powerful kingdoms, each area has taken sets of community-shared traditions and beliefs and given them a local variation on a theme.

The resulting diversity makes traveling for any distance on the island a journey of endless discovery. Five volcanoes have created steep jungle valleys tapering off into verdant plains that eventually merge with a dramatic coastline. Bali's long association with visitors dates back to the 19th century when tales of this exotic and beautiful land began to beckon artists, adventurers and well-heeled travelers. The dawn of the 20th century brought a resident community of foreign artists and craftsmen who, in turn, provided endless inspiration to these visitors. Building on this tradition of craftsmanship Bali is a place of endless wonder for those in search of fine arts and crafts, memorabilia of their visit to the island.

Food is also an important part of daily life. Both within and beyond the luxurious resorts of Bali, some of the world's best cuisines are available. Home to wonderful tropical fruits, fresh seafood, an exciting array of produce, and aromatic spices – Bali, as you might expect, offers and endless array of dining options priced at a fraction of what you'd pay "back home". Bali is a gustatory paradise.

The island's nightlife provides endless variety from trendy cocktail bars to cavernous outside discotheques and charming local bars. Spread throughout the island, each area has a number of excellent options for enjoying Bali after dark. Be warned: there's just never enough time to fit everything you’d like to do in Bali. Another good reason to take advantage of the special hotel rates available from Bali International Triathlon at Jimbaran Bay and extend your stay for a few days before or after the event, or both!

Jimbaran Bay

Jimbaran is stretched between the hill of the south and Kedonganan fish market, near the International Airport. The tranquil sandy beach is a perfect place for relaxing while waiting for the most beautiful sunset of the island.

Jimbaran has a well known reputation for its fresh seafood. There are many seafood restaurants and cafes along the beach of Jimbaran, serving the morning's catch grilled over fire.

When the horizon turns yellowish red, you can see the people come to the cafes to enjoy the view and the fresh seafood. It gets better at night, when they light all the candles and musicians are singing in the background. The romantic atmospheres that enhance the magnetism of Jimbaran attract more and more tourists each year.
