Resting within an exclusive private estate in a breathtaking rural setting, The Chedi Club comprises twenty self-contained units, spread throughout a substantial five hectares of gardens, encompassed by an vista of rice fields unbroken by borders or fences. There are three splendid One-Bedroom Spa Villas and nine One-Bedroom Pool Villas, in addition to the stunning Two-Bedroom Estate Villa and seven One-Bedroom Suites.
The interiors cleverly blends contemporary elegance with the traditions, romance and ambience of Bali. Each is thoughtfully decorated and furnished with artistic flair, graceful furniture and local artefacts from the Hadiprana collection.
Located only three kilometers from the center of Ubud, the estate, known as Tanah Gajah, takes its name from the nearby Goa Gajah elephant temple and is located on the fertile stretch of land between the Petanu and Pakerisan rivers.
It was designed and created in the early 1980s by Mr Hendra Hadiprana, one of Indonesia's most prominent architects and interior designers, as a secluded hideaway and weekend retreat for his family and friends. After more than two decades of nurturing and love, there is a powerful energy running through the beautiful gardens, which are dotted with mature trees, lotus ponds and an ornamental lake.

Ubud While it's possible to visit Ubud in just a day, such a short trip would barely touch the surface of this extraordinary village. An interesting melange of rural Balinese life and modern services which co-exist here. Despite the fact that visitors may outnumber residents during peak periods, Ubud retains the atmosphere of a small country community and, in contrast to the hustle of Kuta, the pace of life is very relaxed. It's a great place to tour on foot or by bicycle and there's a wide range of facilities for tourists of all budgets, as well as beaches 10 km away. For those who enjoy being close to natural beauty, yet within easy reach of creature comforts, Ubud is ideal. Ubud is only 45 minutes from Denpasar Airport. |
