Following a horrific traffic accident in North Bali that claimed the lives of five Mainland Chinese tourists traveling in a minivan on Friday, 14 November 2025, another dramatic road accident involving a tourist van full of Chinese tourists occurred on the morning of Friday, 01 December 2025, on the Bali Mandara Toll Way that sent at least 13 people to the nearby Bali Mandara Hospital.
As reported by Balipost. com the accident occurred at approximately 8:45 am when a minivan, which police say was traveling at a high rate of speed, was traveling in the right lane of the southbound toll road when it struck a light pole and overturned.
Police suspect the driver, identified by the initials ML, may have fallen asleep at the wheel.
Preliminary reports state that the very full minivan with 13 Chinese tourists, a guide, and the driver reportedly suffered minor injuries that were treated at the nearby hospital.
Police continue to investigate the incident.
