5 Chinese Tourists Killed in Bali Minivan Accident

A tragic road accident involving tourist transport in north Bali has claimed the lives of five mainland Chinese tourists.

As reported by Beritabali.com, the single-vehicle accident took place on Friday, 14 November 2025, at 5:00 am in Prabakula, Desa Padangbulia. Sukasada Region, Bulelelng Regency.

Iptu Yohana Rosali Diaz, spokesperson for the Buleleng Police, explained that the five tourists died while traveling in a HiAce minibus driven by Arif Al Akbar, who lost control of the vehicle carrying eleven passengers traveling in a northerly direction.  

The minibus veered off the road and struck a tree. The severe damage to the vehicle suggests the van was traveling at a high rate of speed. The 11 passengers were rushed to two area hospitals in Buleleng, where five were declared dead.

The five Chinese tourists who died were:

1. Xu Huangyuan (66)

2. Xu Mingbiao (61)

3. Xu Yuexiang (52)

4. Zhong Yuemei (63)

5. Xu Huijuan (61)

Meanwhile, the six remaining passengers were warded at the hospital and are receiving intensive treatment.

The accident remains under police investigation.
