As reported by Beritabali.com, arrivals at Bali’s Airport continue to grow.
For the period January through August 2025, a total of 4,806,333 foreign visitors flew into Bali, representing an increase of 12.4% when compared to the same 8-month period in 2024.
During the first eight months of 2025, the month of July recorded the greatest number of arrivals with 718,991 travelers, equivalent to an average of 23 thousand daily passengers. Meanwhile, August 2025 arrivals remain strong, totaling 703,030 visitors. Overall, Bali experienced very high arrival numbers for the period June through September.
Australians remain the largest contributor of foreign visitors to Bali, with 1.094.194 travelers, representing an increase of 6.3% year-on-year. India is the second-largest source of visitors to Bali, with 395,101 passengers for the January-August period, up 5.5%.
3rd place in terms of tourist visitors was the mainland Chinese at 393,825, demonstrating a significant increase of 20.6%. 4th place was secured by South Korea (264,448 visitors), followed by the UK (226.354). South Korean visitors grew 27.8% and UK visitors were up 11.6%.
Bali’s busiest air routes were those flying between the Island and Australia. Also, during the fist eight months of 2025, high air traffic volume was recorded by Singapore (8,543 air movements); Kuala Lumpur (6,940 air movements), Perth (4,892 air movements), Melbourne (4,031 air movements); and Sydney (2,823 air movements).
Bali Airport management is working to prepare for future passenger growth by developing a connecting gate between the International and domestic terminals to facilitate those transiting internationally. In addition, passenger corridors are being enlarged, check-in areas are being enhanced, connecting piers in the international terminal are being improved, and the “beautification” of toilet facilities in both domestic and international terminals is being undertaken.
