The sophistication of the investigative methods now being employed by police in Bali was on full display with the recent arrest of three suspects in connection with the murderous attack on Vila Casa Santisya in North Kuta that resulted in the shooting death of one Australian and the serious wounding of another.
The subsequent speedy arrest of three Australians was substantially aided when police successfully managed to trace the barcode on a sledgehammer used in the 14 June attack to break down the victims’ door. Kompas.com quotes AKBP M. Arif Batubara, the head of the Badung Police Precinct, who shared that the barcode led police to a local hardware shop on Jalan Pererenan, where a CCTV camera recorded the transaction and identified the purchaser, whom police tagged as one of the assailants.

Bali police tracked down and named the three assassins who are now in custody: Tupou Pasa Midolmore (27), Coskunmevlut (23), and Darcy Francesco Jenson (37).
All three Australian men have been formally named as suspects by the Bali Police and charged with premeditated murder in the death of Zivan Radmanovic and the serious wounding of Sanar Ghanim, both Australians.

Witnessing the shootings were the respective wives of the two men, Gourdeas Jazmyn and Daniela Sanar, who escaped the incident unharmed.
