Kompas.com’s latest coverage of the murder trial of three Australians charged in the assassination of a fellow Australian, Zivan Radmanovic, and the wounding of another Australian, Sanar Ghamin, on 14 June 2025, entered its closing phase as Public Prosecutors demanded suitable sentences for the accused.
The violent attack took place at a private villa in Munggu Village, Mengwi, on Saturday, 14 June 2025, when the defendants, Mevlut Coskun (22) and Paea Imiddlemore Tupou (26), overwhelmed the villa, shooting Radmanovic and Ghamin in the process.

On Monday, 03 February 2026, the Presiding Judge, I Wayan Suarta, heard Chief Prosecutor, I Gusti Ngurah Wirayoga, read the formal charge filed against Coskun and Tupo. declaring them as perpetrators in the attack and demanding jail sentences of 18 years in prison.
This was followed by another Prosecutor’s demand of a prison sentence of 17 years for another Australian, Darcy Francesco Jenson (27), alleged to have been an accomplice in the attack.
A clear motive in the attack remains unclear, with some reports suggesting the motive was linked to Australian organized crime.
Capital punishment was briefly considered for the three men. In seeking a lighter sentence, Prosecutors said the defendants’ frank confession and polite demeanor in court mitigated any sentencing arguments.
