Data from the Provincial Tourist Authorities valid through 26 December 2023 recorded 5,232,751 foreign visitors. Foreign arrivals to Bali are dominated by Australians (25%), followed by Indians, Mainland Chinese, United Kingdom residents, USA, South Koreans, French, Singaporeans, Germans, and Malaysians.

As reported by, Pemayun acknowledged that the recovery of Bali’s tourism numbers in 2023 exceeded the already optimistic projections of tourism industry officials. Accordingly, he is confident that the recovery in 2024 will exceed expectations on total foreign tourists, length of stay, and per diem spending.

Despite the optimism for a strong tourism performance in Bali in 2024, Pamayun acknowledged that the global tourism industry faces several problematic issues contributing to overall instability, including the Ukrainian-Rusian conflict and the ongoing Israeli invasion of Gaza.

Pemayun called on the people in Bali to work to keep the situation conducive to tourism in Bali.
