As reported by NusaBali.com, Conde Nast Traveler UK 2025 has again named the Island of Bali as “Asia’s Best Island,” while Condé Nast Traveler USA has ranked Bali among the world’s 10 best islands. Conde Nast UK edition version of their prestigious “Readers’ Choice Awards” for 2025 honored Bali as “The Best Island in Asia,” in striking contrast to Conde Nast (USA) placed Bali in sixth -place with an overall score of 89.94, following the competing other destinations of such as Phi Quoc (Vietnam), Langkawi (Malaysia), and Boracay (Philippines).
Reacting to the honor, Indonesia’s Tourism Minister Widiyanti Putri Wardhana, said on Wednesday, 15 October 2025, in Jakarta, that Bali’s ranking mirrored the previous year, when Bali was named “Asia Best Island” by Conde Nast Traveler (UK) scoring 98.86 as compared to Conde Nast Traveler (USA) that ranked Bali at ninth with a score of 90.15. Both rankings, said the Tourism Minister, demonstrate the strength of “Indonesia’s tourism ecosystem,” which continues to develop, reflecting the quality of the Country’s labor force, the preparedness of each destination, and the prevailing commitment to sustainability.
The Condé Nast Reader’s Choice Awards are presented annually by Condé Nast UK and Condé Nast USA, with nominations from the readerships of each publication. Readers in the UK and USA, numbering more than 500,000, vote for their favorite destinations, hotels, airlines, cruise ships, and islands.
Tourism Minister Widiyanti points to data from the National Statistic Center (BPS) showing a year-on-year increase of 10.38% in the number of tourists visiting Indonesia for the period January-August 2025, to 10.4 million.
From this total, Europeans numbered 1.68 million, with Americans totaling 413,000.
