Daily Life in Bali Under PPKM-Darurat

Street Lights Turned in Bali at 8:00 PM During PPKM-Darurat.

During the current Emergency Limitations on Public Movement (PPKM-Darurat) to remain in effect until 20 July 2021, street lights on public streets are being turned off at 8:00 pm to discourage public movement and reduce the spread of COVID-19.

The Provincial Secretary for Bali, Dewa Made Indra, reported that Bali’s Governor, members of the Communications Forum for Regional Leadership (Forkompinda), the military commander in Bali, the chief prosecutor, and the Regents and Mayor from across Bali – met together in a PPKM-Darurat evaluation session on Wednesday, 07 July 2021.

As reported by NusaBali.com, Indra revealed that during the 2.5-hour meeting, a range of points was mutually agreed, including:

Indra concluded, saying: “So, I ask for the support of every sector of the Indonesian public to help suppress COVID-19 in the Province of Bali to the lowest level. This should be done until the health and safety of the Balinese people can be safeguarded and in the future, the economy can be returned to good health.”
