Fresh off the plane from his last assignment at the Jumeirah Emirates Tower Hotel in Dubai, Zulal Ahmad (Zee) has come home to Indonesia to join Hard Rock Hotel Bali as its Executive Chef. Overseeing 5 restaurants and bars, in-room dining, weddings, corporate functions and banqueting services - Chef "Zee" brings 26 years of culinary experience acquired in 12 luxury hotels to his Bali appointment.
His catering industry career commenced nearly 3 decades ago in Indonesia before taking up his first foreign posting working on Christmas Island, Australia. Later he complemented his practical education by working as an Executive Sous Chef in star-rated hotels at leading hotels across Asia.
Growing up in Indonesia's capital city of Jakarta, "Zee" jumped at the opportunity to work again in Indonesia at Hard Rock Hotel Bali where he was attracted by the property's reputation for an innovative approach to food and beverage. "I had heard many good things about the property and was excited to work with the team at Hard Rock Hotel Bali. This hotel provides a unique and memorable guest experience with all the staffs' attitude and the brand's high recognition by Indonesians through the numerous and prestigious awards it has won. I feel so extremely proud to be a part of this team," Chef Zee said.
The Hotel's general manager, Andrew Khoo, said Zee's strong background at high-end restaurants and luxury hotels would further enhance the dining experiences available at Hard Rock Hotel Bali's restaurants.
