Bali and Beyond Tour Departing June 9

Pannell's Tours Offers 12-Day Odyssey through Bali & Beyond, Including 7-Days Cruising the Islands of Eastern Bali.

Pannell's Tours - a leading international tour operator headquartered in South Africa, is conducting a unique 12-day tour of Bali and beyond commencing in Bali on June 9, 2011. Led by James and Louise Pannell, who have personally researched and planned the tour, the itinerary include 5 nights in Bali using five-star accommodation and 7 days cruising the islands east of Bali on board a traditional Buginese phinisi with 12 spacious en suite air conditioned cabins - island hopping in splendid comfort and style.

Starting in Bali on June 9th, the trip begins with three nights in Ubud that serves as the base for a thorough immersion into Balinese culture only possible from Ubud - the artistic and spiritual heart of Bali. On day four, the select, small group of interested and interesting travelers will descend the hills of Bali to the southern port of Benoa to embark on the Ombak Putih which then sets sail up the coast of Bali with a stop at the "Bali adat" village of Teganan before turning an easterly course for Bali's near neighbor of Lombok. The 7-day journey to beyond Bali includes stops on the volcanic island of Satonda; the traditional Sumbawa port of Bima; and a multiple-day exploration of Komodo – home to the world's largest lizards. Disembark Ombak Putih on June 18th on the island of Flores for a one-hour flight back to Bali.

In Bali the group will check into a leading resort at Nusa Dua for their remaining three nights of the tour in Bali. The final three days in Bali have been kept purposely light to allow personalized touring or simple relaxation at a luxurious tropical resorts. A farewell dinner is planned on the evening of June 20th permitting guests to enjoy a sumptuous rijstafel on the eve before the end of the tour program on June 21st.
