Making Chinese More Aware of Bali’s Culture

Governor Welcomes New Chinese Consul General to Bali
Beritabali.com reports that Bali Governor Made Mangku Pastika welcomed  a delegation from the People’s Republic of China (PRC) Consulate in Bali, led by Consul General  Houdong, on Tuesday, April 3, 2018.

Gou has replaced the former Consul General Hu Yinquan.
Although newly arrived in Bali, Gou Houdong proclaimed his deep interest in the culture and beauty of Bali, saying he hopes he will become more familiar with Bali and its people in the near future.
Gou Houdong praised the state of good relations that currently exists between the PRC and Bali, as evidenced by the supplanting of Australia by the PRC as the leading source of tourism visitors. The Chinese diplomat pledged to research Bali’s culture and work to familiarize his fellow countrymen with the people of Bali.
In response, Governor Pastika said his administration would welcome the opportunity to familiarize Consul General Gou Houdong with the Island of Bali, particularly the Island’s network of traditional villages.
