Balipost.com reports that the special strike force for the enforcement of zoning bali assets, and licensing raided the Jungle Padel Club in the Village of Munggu, Mengwi, Seseh on Tuesday, 20 December 2025.
The DPRD-Bali Special Strike Force (TRAP) visited the Jungle Padel Club on Tuesday, 20 December 2025. The Chairman of the Task Force, I Made Supartha, led the group, along with the Deputy Secretary of TRAP, Dr. Domvir, and other appointed members of TRAP.
The TRAP Task Force visited the tourist attraction to investigate public reports of zoning violations.
During the inspection visit, the Strike Force discovered that there were standing buildings and organized activities at the Jungle Pedel Club in Seseh occupying land officially designated as “Protected Rice Fields” (Lahan Sawah Dilindungi – LSD) and “Sustainable Crop Lands” (Lahan Pertanian Pangan Berkelanjutan – LP2B) – both areas forbidden for non-agricultural pursuits.
Supartha said on 20 December 2025: “On this date, together with other members of the TRAP Task Force, visited the Padel Club. We undertook a number of tasks at this and other locations. Our visits were done based on reports of violations by the Padel Club at Munggu.”

The Jungle Padel Club is owned by a Swedish investor, Ronald Steven, via the registered company PT Jungle Padel Seseh. The Company has been in operation since 01 December 2025.
Supartha said that the land used by the Club is classified as a P1 Green Zone (LP2B) that forbids buildings and activities of a non-agricultural nature.
“Earlier, we went to the location, saw it directly, and heard the local and provincial officials’ explanations. We now more clearly understand there are regional regulations that protect the function of land designated as LSD and LP2B,” said Supartha.
Supartha praised the regulated zoning of land in Bali as necessary to preserve working spaces for farmers, allowing sustainable agriculture without inappropriate development.
Supartha added: “To everyone issuing permits -including village chiefs, community leaders, and environment guardians – please pay attention. If there are businesses and activities taking place in illegal areas, please prevent this from happening!”
He also urged the public not to hesitate to report any unauthorized or illegal use of agricultural land. He promised that, in response, the TRAP DPRD Bali will take firm action to protect the legal function of farming lands.
Explicitly addressing the Jungle Padel Club at Seseh Project, Supartha said, “This is an area designated for sustainable agriculture. These activities are forbidden in these areas. There can be no development in any form on lands designated LP2B.”
Meanwhile, a representative of the Badung Regency’s licensing division insisted that no permit had ever been issued for the Padel Club’s business activities in Seseh. “Wayan Bawa, a licensing official for Badung Regency, said: “Logically, it is impossible that permits have been issued for development on an official green zone. If any permit has been issued, that would be viewed as a criminal act.”
Bawa continued: “ I recommend that this enterprise be temporarily closed while permits are processed and legality verified. LP2B land cannot be used for these kind o activities. This must become an object lesson for both domestic and international investors not to violate zoning regulations.”
For the time being, the Jungle Padel Club at Seseh has been ordered closed and sealed with a police line.
As reported by Balipost.com, Ronald Steven has admitted that the Padel Club at Seseh has only obtained a recommendation in the form of an Online Single Submission (OSS), while building permits from the Regency have not been secured.
Jungle Padel Clubs operate in a number of locations in Bali, including Pererenan, Canggu, Ubud, Kerobokan, Seseh, and Ledungu.
