Dewa Adiputra - Pioneer in Indonesian Sporting Events Dies Suddenly in Kendari, Sulawesi.

A cherished friend of Balidiscovery.com and a prominent figure in Bali and national sporting events, Dewa Adiputra died suddenly on Friday, 28 May 2021, in Kendari, Sulawesi, where he was involved the organizing the Kendari Triathlon.

More popularly known as “Dewa” or “Adi” – Dewa Adiputra was most recently a co-owner and director of Operations at Pandara Sports, specializing in organizing sporting events.

Starting his sports organization career as an operations manager at Bali Discovery Tours, where he earned his sporting event stripes working on the inaugural Bali International Triathlon and Bali International Marathon. 

After leaving Bali Discovery Tours in 2011, he went on to take an active role in organizing the Borobudur Marathon (2017-2020), the BII-Maybank Bali Marathon 2012-2013, and the Bukopin Makasar Marathon.

Quiet, knowledgeable, professional, and dedicated to Indonesian Sports Tourism, Dewa is survived by his wife of 21 years, three daughters, and one grandchild.
