Beritabali.com ,the Ukrainian edition of Rakurs, and the leading Russian newspaper Izvestia are all reporting that a video circulating on “X” – Twitter claims to show that the son of a Ukrainian organized crime figure has been kidnapped, brutalized, and is being held for ransom in Bali.
The video was uploaded to “X” on an account claimed by a Lebanese businessman, Mario Nawfal, has received international attention and fueled concerns that acts linked to international crime networks are becoming more commonplace in Bali.
The posting on “X” features a video showing that Igor Komarovsky (28) – the son of an alleged “Ukrainian mafia member” identified as Oleksandr “Narik” Petrovsky- is being held by kidnappers somewhere on the Island of Bali. The subject video, allegedly originating from the account of @MyLordBebo, was uploaded on 21 February 2026, showing a young man, presumed to be Komarovsky, who looked to have been badly beaten, asking his family to “return” US$10 million to his kidnappers.
In an online post, Nawful said that Komarovsky is beyond the reach of the police or Petrovsky’s mafia associates.

A narration accompanying the video contained an accusation that those who kidnapped Komarovsky accused his family of stealing their money, originally acquired via an online scam call center. Some reports suggest the sought-after US$10 million is held by a fraudulent call center where scammers target and extort money from Russian nationals.
Igor is also claimed in the uploaded video to have already divulged his father’s criminal extortion activities to his kidnappers.
Prior to his abduction, Igor Komarovsky was reportedly staying together in Bali with his sibling, Ermak Petrovsky, believed to be another son of Oleksandr Petrovsky. Ermak is believed to have managed to escape the kidnappers during the incident in which his brother, Igor, disappeared.
The group that kidnapped Igor Komarovsky is suspected of tracking him down via an image uploaded to the Internet showing Eva Mishalova with Komarovsky sharing Valentine’s Day on a boat in Bali.
Mario Nawfal, in his social media posting, speculated that the kidnapping was done as an act of revenge by a group of Russian or Chechnya criminals seeking to avenge the alleged theft of money by Oleksandr Petrovsky.

An unverified video of more than three minutes duration shows a shirtless Igor Komarvsky pleading with his parent that they return “the money we have stolen.” demand. Weeping, with two black eyes, and a heavily bandaged left hsnd, the man claimed he had been mutilated, his ribs broken, and had been drugged. He also said that his kidnapper will cut off his arm if the demanded money is not paid.,
The man also said he has already been taken to another country where he is being held captive.
The publication indicates that the attackers are demanding a ransom of $10 million for the release of the detained man. In addition, according to some reports, Petrovsky and Komarovsky are associated with fraudulent call centers scamming Russian nationals.
Bali Police Respond
Responding to numerous reports of the alleged kidnapping, Police Headquarters in Bali launched an island-wide alert on Saturday evening, 21 February 2026, that included coordinated roadblocks and vehicle inspections on major highways and at inter-provincial and inter-regional border crossings.
As reported separately by Balipost.com, police concentrated their searches on the Sarbagita Area of Bali (Denpasar, Badung, Gianyar, and Tabanan) in an effort to detect the current whereabouts of the 28-year-old Ukrainian and his abductors. Bali’s Water Police and aerial commands were also alerted and joined the sweep involving more than 35 officers specifically dedicated to the search, backed up by the Island’s entire complement of police authorities who were operating in accordance with an all-points alert.
