The State-owned bus company DAMRI, first launched in 1945, has launched a new luxury bus service connecting Jakarta and Denpasar, Bali, taking full advantage of the sophisticated new Trans-Java toll system, covering a total distance of more than 1,000 kilometers.
The new luxury service operates once weekly, between Jakarta and Bali, and between Bali and Jakarta.
A one-way ticket is priced at Rp. 590,000
The DAMRI bus service commences operations on Friday, 06 March 2026.
The new service has been designed to facilitate weekend travel with departure from Jakarta at 4:00 pm on Friday. Similarly. The departure from Denpasar destined for Jakarta is on Sunday at 4:00 pm.

In Jakarta, the service departs and returns to terminals at Kemayoran, Cawang, and Pulogebang. Intermediate pickup and drop-offs are available in Cirebon and Semarang. The Jakarta service will depart from Mengwi or the DAMRI station in Denpasar.
The luxurious new bus service will feature only 32 seats, arranged in a 4-to-an-aisle configuration, with a central aisle. The DAMRI service connecting Jakarta and Bali features buses equipped with port chargers on every seat and security via Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras. Ticket prices also include two meals during the journey.
Seats are expected to sell out quickly, and should be booked in advance using DAMRI’s online booking application, which can be downloaded from the Play Store and App Store.
