PMS Presents: AWAKENING – From Silence to Song

Padma Musical Series opens the 2026 musical season with a powerful concert on Easter Saturday, 04 April 2026. The program features a trio performance symbolizing rebirth, light, and new cycles, with international classical stars Ivan Yanakov (piano & conductor), Ambroise Aubrun (violin), and Bryant Gozali (cello).

Ivan Yanakov – Piano & Conductor (Bulgaria)

Ivan Yanakov

An internationally acclaimed pianist and conductor, Bulgarian Ivan Yanakov, has performed in over 30 countries across Asia, Europe, Australia, and North America. Renowned for his musical accomplishments, he performed at the Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre, Sydney Town Hall, and Shanghai Oriental Arts Centre.

His artistry is eternally archived, with recordings available on more than 120 digital platforms. These include his latest release: Rachmaninoff’s Third Piano Concerto with the London Symphony Orchestra. By any standard, Yanakov is a distinguished educator and musical collaborator. He brings technical mastery and profound musical insight to every performance, including the coming refined trio performance, which promises to become a highlight of the Padma Musical Series Calendar.

Ambroise Auburn – Violinist (France)

Ambroise Aubrun

Ambroise Aubrun is an accomplished French violinist and a genuinely international artist. France Musique calls him a “marvellous violinist,” and Pizzicato Magazine praises his “sensitive tone.” He has performed in major halls across Europe, the Americas, and Australasia. He is also a respected collaborator with leading artists and ensembles, a sought-after guest concertmaster, and a passionate advocate for contemporary music. Aubrun has premiered over 30 works worldwide.

In addition to his busy performance career, Aubrun is an Associate Professor of Violin at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He also serves as artistic director of UCLA’s Henry J. Bruman Chamber Music Festival. His versatility goes beyond classical, with performances alongside Herbie Hancock, Moby, and Pink Martini. This range makes him a compelling collaborator for his appearance in Bali.

Aubrun plays a Matteo Goffriller Violin, on a generous loan from the Langart Foundation.

BRYANT GOZALI – Cello – Indonesia

BRYANT GOZALI

Indonesia’s leading cellist, based in Jakarta, serves as co-principal Cellist of the Jakarta Simfonia Orchestra and as a founding member of the highly acclaimed Jakarta Trio.

Widely regarded for his superb musicality, leadership, and chamber music artistry, Bryant has become a familiar presence at Padma musical events in recent seasons. He enjoys a close artistic friendship with Ambroise Aubrun and remains active in the Padma Musical Series. As an established fixture on Bali’s classical music scene, he is a fitting choice to open the 2026 musical season in Bali.

Sharing the Plumeria Grand Ballroom Stage in Bali on Saturday, 04 April 2026, these three artists will guide audiences through a carefully curated program of musical transformation. From the dramatic intensity of Mendelssohn and Beethoven to the reflective lyricism of Rachmaninoff and Fauré, the evening unfolds as a meditation on renewal — culminating in contemporary compositions that speak to light, introspection, and new beginnings.

AWAKENING is more than a concert. It follows an emotional arc that mirrors the spirit of Easter weekend and the launch of a new artistic season.

Limited early bird tickets are available. Early booking is strongly recommended for what promises to be one of Bali’s most captivating cultural evenings.
