The number of countries eligible for Indonesian visas-on-arrival (VoA) has risen to 92. A Circular Memorandum (No. IMI-0133.GR.01.01 Tahun 2023) from Indonesian immigration authorities has added Panama, Guatemala, and Macau to the list of countries able to access VoAs.
As reported by Kompas.com, the Sub-coordinator for Public Relations for the Director General of Immigration, Achmad Nur Saleh, said in a published statement on Wednesday, 16 April 2023: “The Director-General of Immigration commented that Kenya and Rwanda, in February 2023, were added to the list of countries eligible for an Indonesia visa-on-arrival.”
VoAs are suitable for tourism visits, governmental visits, trips for business meetings, purchasing trips, and transit stops. A Visa-on-Arrival is valid for 30 days and can be extended for another 30 days but can not be converted into another visa class.
Passports must have a minimum of six months of remaining validity at the time of visa issuance.
Achmad said: “There is also an Electronic Visa-on-Arrival (e-VOA) that can be obtained online and must be used within 90 days of its issuance.”
